Jupiter Farms' Old Gathering Spot Is Coming Back, and Much of the Work Is Underground

The coffee bar, the arcade and the nightly band are what people will see at Fabricant Farms. Much of the work at 16891 Jupiter Farms Road right now is going into the ground. The owners are installing a new septic system, a commercial well and buried drainage pipe, along with lighted parking. Those are the pieces a family venue needs before it can host a crowd every evening. The owners hope to open before Thanksgiving, and their site still describes the property as an active construction zone.

The Address Already Had a Following

This parcel has been a gathering place before. Taylor Farmhouse Cafe opened there in 2018, WFLX reported this spring. In its September profile of the new owners, the Palm Beach Post said Jupiter Farms families came for the live music, the bonfire pit and the open space, where parents could relax while their children ran around outside.

Here is how the site got from that cafe to a fenced work zone:

  • 2018: Taylor Farmhouse Cafe opens on Jupiter Farms Road.
  • July 24, 2023: The cafe reopens under a partnership with the owner of Okeechobee Steakhouse. It keeps its name and most of its menu and adds barbecue, a liquor license and Sunday hours.
  • Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023: Last day of service. WPTV reported that the operator's representative blamed an undisclosed preexisting defect with the property. In a statement, the family that owned the property said it was confused and saddened by the news. The management arrangement ended Oct. 31, 2023.
  • March 2026: WFLX reports that Tyler Fabricant owns the site, that the septic system is being replaced and 20 parking spaces added, and that the project should create at least 40 jobs.
  • Late September 2026: Gold Coast Wave describes the site as still under construction, aiming to open before Thanksgiving.

Tyler and Melissa Fabricant were regulars at Taylor Farmhouse Cafe long before they thought about owning it, according to the Post. Tyler Fabricant explained the purchase to WFLX this way:

"The reason we bought it is that we enjoyed so many fun times here when it used to be the Taylor Farmhouse Café that we just felt it imperative to bring it back. It's such a fun place for the community. That's what we say we don't grow food here, we grow memories."

What the Construction Is Actually For

The project's official site says the work brings the property up to full state and county code, and that the county has approved the plans for traffic flow, drainage, landscaping and septic. The list of improvements reads more like an engineering scope than a restaurant buildout:

  1. Septic. A new system that the owners say has the largest leach field in Palm Beach County.
  2. Water. A new commercial-grade well with full reverse osmosis treatment.
  3. Drainage. Engineered dry retention basins tied to an underground drainage system, plus overflow controls.
  4. Parking. Expanded parking areas with lighting.
  5. Guest space. A covered outdoor deck with more restrooms, and an outdoor stage.

Each item lines up with something on the planned program. A band every night and a full bar bring a lot of visitors to one parcel, and the plan handles wastewater and drinking water on site through the new septic system and well. Retention basins keep a summer storm from flooding the lot, as Gold Coast Wave put it. The same report points out that lighted parking means a busy music night shouldn't push cars onto the shoulder of Jupiter Farms Road.

Neighbors driving by will also notice trees coming down. The owners say some trees are being kept, and any removed will be replaced under county environmental rules, with the finished property fully landscaped.

The Program Is Built Around Evenings

According to the owners' published plans, Fabricant Farms will open with:

  • Live music every night on the new outdoor stage
  • A large enclosed area for family gatherings
  • A food truck and full liquor service
  • A coffee bar
  • A sweets and treats shop
  • A locals market
  • An arcade

WFLX's spring report said the restaurant would open first, with the ice cream shop and arcade to follow. Gold Coast Wave's September report lists everything as the opening lineup, so the exact sequence may only become clear once the doors open.

Live music every night is the part of the plan that matters most out west. Gold Coast Wave describes Jupiter Farms, west of the Turnpike and I-95, as one of the most rural parts of the Jupiter area, and says people there usually head east to Indiantown Road, Abacoa or the waterfront for a night out. Most of what is on the calendar out west this fall happens in daylight. A venue planning live music every night would be the first regular evening option of its kind on Jupiter Farms Road since 2023.

Before Thanksgiving, If the Plan Holds

As of the most recent updates, there is no opening date and no posted hours. The owners' site says they hope to welcome visitors before Thanksgiving "if all goes according to plan," and it asks people to stay off the property until further notice because it is an active work zone with heavy equipment. Progress updates are posted on fabricantfarms.com, and the owners can be reached at [email protected].

Out West in the Meantime

Two places already fill the calendar in western Jupiter this fall. Both run mostly in daylight on fixed schedules, and most programs need a reservation.

Riverbend Park, at 9060 Indiantown Road, posted its October 2026 program guide on Sept. 21. Most programs require registration online at pbcparks.com or by phone at 561-741-1359. All children must be with an adult. What's left on the October schedule, plus the weekly programs:

  • Thursday, Oct. 22, 3 p.m.: Wildlife Detectives, a hands-on program on bones, skulls, tracks and scat with live animals. All ages, $5.
  • Friday, Oct. 23, 7 p.m.: Full Moon Bike Ride, a guided ride after hours and the one evening program left this month. Ages 8 and up, $10, bring your own bike and safety gear.
  • Saturday, Oct. 24, 9:30 a.m.: Wild & Wicked, a program on snakes, spiders, bats, frogs and insects. All ages, $5.
  • Thursday, Oct. 29, 4 p.m.: Open Range Archery for people who have completed a basic course at the park. Ages 8 and up, $10.
  • Every Wednesday, 2:30 p.m.: Reptile Encounters. Free, reservations required.
  • Every Thursday, 1 p.m.: One-hour naturalist walks. Free, reservations required.
  • Every Saturday, 10 a.m., October through May: Battlefield tours led by Loxahatchee Battlefield Preservationist docents, covering the Second Seminole War battles fought on the site. Free, no reservation needed.

Jupiter Creamery Farm, at 18591 131st Trail N, has two dates after Halloween. The first is the Pumpkin Smash Bash on Saturday, Nov. 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bring your spent Halloween pumpkins to smash for the cows. There will be food vendors, games, and the farm's cows, chickens, sheep, turkeys and pigs, and the event raises money for a milking station. The second is the Open Farm Day Christmas Market on Saturday, Dec. 12, also 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is free and includes the farm shop, fresh produce, artisanal crafts, homemade treats and music.

If Fabricant Farms opens on schedule, it will sit between those two farm dates on the calendar. A Saturday at the creamery in mid-November could then be followed by an evening with music a short drive away on Jupiter Farms Road. Until the owners announce an opening, their website is the place to check, and the site itself stays off-limits.
